The NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is an examined core qualification for people who have health and safety as part of their role at work: managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps them manage health and safety risks effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview and is a sound basis for further professional study.
Holders of the NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). The qualification also meets the academic requirements for Technician membership (TechIOSH) of IOSH and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
CAM Training offers the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) “Working Safely” and “Managing Safely” courses.
“Working Safely” meets the Government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training and matches the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘passport’ syllabus.
“Managing Safely” is appropriate for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It is designed to teach managers the practical steps they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.
Attendees will develop an awareness of assessing and controlling risks, understanding their responsibilities, identifying hazards, investigating accidents and incidents, measuring performance and protecting the environment.
Successful completion of a written assessment will earn attendees a certificate.

CAM Training offers Federation of Window Cleaners (FWC), IOSH approved, “Cleaning Windows Safely” and “Safe Use of Portable Ladders and Water-Fed Pole Systems”.
With Health & Safety regulations becoming tougher, and the cost of insurance rising rapidly, window cleaners are turning increasingly to water-fed poles (WFP). They greatly reduce the need to work at height in the case of windows that can be viewed from ground level and that are not obstructed. Although inherently safer, consideration must still be given to operational and other risks. Through a combination of theoretical and practical instruction, operatives can develop an awareness of the legal implications, common hazards and precautions, correct operation of equipment, pre-use inspection, elevating and lowering both WFPs and ladders.
Successful completion of both written & practical assessment is marked by the issuing of a certificate by CAM Training.
This is an open course available at our London location.
