IOSH Working Safely
The IOSH Working Safely Course is a 1 day taught course designed for all types of people in the full range of business organisations. The personnel who would benefit from attending this course include process workers, office workers, engineers, supervisory and management in all types of organisations, who need an initial understanding of health and safety at work.
By the end of the course delegates will have knowledge of:
~ Hazards and risk assessments in the workplace
~ Health and safety legislation and relevant regulations
~ The responsibilities of managers and supervisors and themselves for the management and implementation of safety in the workplace
~ How to apply principles of good practice in health and safety
~ How to use effective communication
~ How to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation within the workplace
The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has recognised the IOSH Working Safely as an equivalent to the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a construction environment. This means that delegates who successfully complete the Working Safely can apply for a CSCS green Labourer card once they have also passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Operatives Test.

Delegates must sit a short closed-book assessment in which they complete both a multi-choice assessment paper and three hazard spotting assessment papers.
The programme runs as a 1 day taught course.
